Drawing inspiration from western films, rock n’ roll album covers, and Edward Hopper paintings, Chinotto House’s redesign of a 1929 Spanish Revival home in the Historic Duckpond neighborhood of Gainesville, Florida is a nostalgic blend of Americana and modern aesthetics that thoughtfully captures the spirit of their clients: a University of Florida law professor, his teenage daughter, and their sweet ol’ blind dog.

The addition of bold tile installations, a copper-clad fireplace, wood paneled walls, and lime wash textures complement and contrast the historic charm of the home’s original pinewood floors, softly curved archways, and timeworn terracotta, while collectible artworks are layered with contemporary designer furnishings, light fixtures, and textiles to truly reflect the lifestyle, interests, and aspirations of its residents.
