This recently completed project highlights an eclectic home design for a family of five who split their time between Louisville and Gainesville. The goal was to create living and sleeping spaces that capture a 1970s-inspired aesthetic, blending high and low design elements with the family’s cherished art and accessories. A special touch was added with subtle nods to the iconic Shaft movie, incorporating chrome accents, shag carpeting, and saturated color to evoke the era’s bold style.
After months of meticulous planning, sourcing unique furnishings, and executing custom paint treatments, the design came together to create a space that balances vintage charm with modern functionality. The final reveal was a hit, with the clients delighted by the results.
This project exemplifies the trust between client and designer, and the team at Chinotto House is honored to have been part of bringing this vibrant, personalized space to life—one that truly reflects the family’s eclectic tastes and dynamic lifestyle.
“They got our lifestyle & vision for our home right from the start! Working with talented, experienced—not to mention resourceful—professionals whose aim is to capture your dream decor is EVERYTHING!”
